Why I’m Running

“My family moved to Tracy in 1980.”

This community became the place where my husband Henry and I raised our two sons. Both graduated from West High School, played in Tracy parks, and grew up knowing their neighbors.

Tracy has given my family everything — roots here, friendships here, and a future worth protecting. Our grandchildren love visiting Grandpa and Nana in the same city their father grew up in.

After a career in banking, finance, and project management, I believe it is time to give back to the community that has given so much to my family. I am running for City Council to protect quality of life, support responsible growth, and give District 1 families, neighborhoods, and small businesses a louder voice at City Hall.

Why Tracy Is
Worth Fighting For

Tracy is more than a place on a map. It is neighborhoods, schools, small businesses, parks, families, and traditions built over generations. Robin Cole is running because she believes Tracy’s future should honor the people who made this city home.

“I’m not running because Tracy has problems. I’m running because Tracy has something worth keeping — and every city that grows as fast as ours has to fight to hold onto it.”

Downtown Tracy — the community Robin Cole is fighting for

“The best decisions are made when community voices are part of the process.”

Neighborhoods

The blocks where kids still play outside. The streets where neighbors know each other by name. The front porches where people actually talk. That isn't nostalgia — that's what we have here, and it's worth protecting.

Families

Tracy has always been a place where you could raise a family and afford to stay. Where your kids could grow up in the same town you did. That should still be true for the next generation.

Schools & Parks

Good schools are not an abstract policy goal. They are the reason families choose to put down roots. Safe parks are not a budget line — they are where our community actually lives.

Local Business

The restaurants, shops, and small businesses that define Downtown Tracy are what makes this a community, not just a commuter city. They deserve our support — not just our words.

Community Pride

After 45 years, I still feel it when I drive into Tracy. A sense that this is a real place, with real history, real people, and a real future worth working for.

After 45 years of watching Tracy grow — from a small agricultural city to a community approaching 100,000 people — Robin believes the next chapter matters most. Growth without identity is just sprawl. Progress without values is just development. The goal is a Tracy that is better for everyone who calls it home.

Focused On
What Matters

Robin Cole’s priorities for District 1 are grounded in the concerns she has heard from Tracy families over four decades — and the challenges she has watched the city navigate. No jargon. No abstract goals. Real priorities for real residents.

01

Protecting Neighborhoods

Safe neighborhoods, strong communities, and a quality of life that families can count on.

02

Responsible Growth

Supporting growth while preserving the character and values that make Tracy a great place to live.

03

Supporting Local Business

Encouraging economic opportunity, attracting quality jobs, and helping local businesses succeed.

04

Healthcare Accountability

Tracy residents deserve access to healthcare services that meet the needs of a growing community. The current hospital is too small, and dedicated healthcare professionals are doing so much with too little. Decades ago, Tracy was promised a new hospital. Robin will advocate for accountability, transparency, and real progress on healthcare infrastructure that serves local families.

05

Community Engagement

Ensuring District 1 residents have a voice and feel heard by their local government.

Rooted In Community

Leadership begins by listening.

Whether attending community events, supporting local organizations, meeting with residents, or participating in neighborhood conversations, Robin believes the best decisions are made when community voices are part of the process.
